What this is

Three main things are published here. The wire collects insurtech reporting from across the trade press. The Brief is a short written summary of what moved, published once a day and archived — and sent out by email on weekdays, for anyone who would rather it came to them. The funding tracker is a table of every insurtech round with a disclosed figure, with the summary statistics behind it and a free CSV and JSON download.

Around those sit the reference pages: 1440 company pages, 14 topic hubs, a glossary of 17 insurance terms, and 21 market pages grouping companies by country.

How the data is collected

We gather from a large list of insurance and insurtech feeds three times each weekday and once at weekends.

Funding rounds are taken out of that archive. A round is counted only when a publication states a figure, so rounds closed without a number are absent and every total here is a floor rather than a market estimate. Amounts reported in other currencies are converted at fixed reference rates and the original figure is shown beside the conversion, so any row can be checked against the reporting it links to. The tracker sets out the full method, including what is deliberately excluded.

Using the data

The funding data is free to use, including commercially, with attribution to Insurtech Daily and a link back to insurtechdaily.io/funding/. Take it as CSV or JSON. New rounds are syndicated at funding-feed.xml and the daily brief at feed.xml. Please read how the numbers are compiled before citing them: they are a floor on disclosed activity.
